This may be one of the most heard of health myths of the century: everyone should drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. This phrase is flawed because each glass does not have the same size and liquid measurement. One person’s eight glasses of water a day may be too little to satisfy her thirst. As a general rule of thumb, one should drink around 2 liters of water each day and try to replace their sugary drinks like soda, with water. As far as the myth goes, this one is not too contentious.
