Janine Berdin accepts defeat in the battle of winning the one she loves in her emotionally charged single “Wala Ako N’yan,” released under Star Music and produced by TNT Records.

“Just like all of my songs, it’s a reminder that we all feel different things—how we feel like we’re always failing, how we feel like everything is turning against us, how we feel like we’ll never be enough for someone,” the “Tawag ng Tanghalan” season 2 grand champion shared.

However, she says the song also connotes a positive message. “It’s a reminder that you’re not alone, that you’re not the only person who feels this and that you have someone,” the “Gem of OPM” explained.

“Wala Ako N’yan” was self-penned by Janine, arranged by Mhonver Lopez, produced by Chochay Magno and Jessa Gregorios, and executive produced by TNTV Records head Pete Dizon.

Meanwhile, praises over Janine’s unique voice quality and affectionate singing flooded the official music video of the song on YouTube.

“I can feel the emotions, rushing through (my) veins. Janine is truly a gem! Whenever I hear her voice it drives me insane,” Lloyd Pepito commented.

“Can’t get enough of Janine’s voice. I’ve been watching this on repeat even if it hurts so much. Seems like my heart is being tortured but I still want to watch it! (Can’t get enough of Janine’s voice. paulit ulit ko lang pinapanood kahit sobrang sakit. yung tinutusok na yung puso ko pero gusto ko pa ding panoorin!),” Marielle Sheyanne Penes noted.

Since her breakthrough in “Tawag ng Tanghalan,” Janine has further branched out, interpreting “Mas Mabuti Pa” in Himig Handog 2018, which bagged the songwriting competition’s 4th Best Song award. The following year, she interpreted another Himig Handog entry, “Sa’yong Mundo.” She also sang the theme song of the widely popular Kapamilya series “Kadenang Ginto,” titled “Nasa Puso.”

Janine likewise received a recognition from the Philippine Air Force in 2018 and was hailed as the Promising Female Music Artist by the World Class Philippines Council 2019.
