5. Focus on a subject
For some people, having only one subject to focus on can better help them ignore other stimuli in their surroundings. It can be anything from an unmoving object within your line of sight, or your phone or a coin in your hand. Focus on the weight of the object, the feeling, or even the materials it’s made of.
These strategies allow you to pause and step away from your thoughts and reorient yourself and your mind to other less anxiety-inducing matters.
