3. Remove yourself from the stressful environment
In most cases, we cannot control when or where these panic attacks will occur. It can happen during class hours, at work, or even while you are out in public. These places can be even full of triggers and negative stimuli—loud noise, crowded areas, bright lights, bad smells.
If you feel a panic attack happening, it’s best to excuse yourself from that environment and find a secluded area like a bathroom stall, an empty space where you can clam yourself down, or a not so crowded area with fresh air. In worst cases where you are in public transportation, closing your eyes can help block out these triggers or even by plugging in your earphones and listening to any music you find relaxing.
