A PHP500-million farm learning center will soon rise in the municipality of Naawan, Misamis Oriental, designed to serve as a key training and development hub for agrarian reform farmer-beneficiaries across Northern Mindanao.

In a statement on Monday, Zoraida Macadindang, director of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Northern Mindanao (DAR-10), said the center will be officially named the Institute for the Sustainable Transformation of Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries.

“This facility will not be just a building but an investment for our farmers’ future,” Macadindang said.

The center aims to serve as a model for climate-resilient, gender-responsive, and sustainable farming practices.

The completion of the facility is expected within one year.

The project involves a partnership with Naawan’s local government. (PNA)
