“Tawag ng Tanghalan: All-Star Grand Resbak” season 2 alum Enzo Almario gives new flavor to several OPM love anthems in his debut EP “Gunita.”

The mini album, released under StarPop, features his rendition of “Hanggang Kailan,” “Dito Na Lang,” “Mas Mabuti Pa,” “Gisingin Ang Puso,” “Kakayanin Kaya,” and “Hanggang Dito Na Lang.”

The key track “Hanggang Kailan,” which was originally sung by Michael Pangilinan, looks back on how the relationship fell apart and the hardship of moving on. StarPop label head Roque “Rox” Santos produced and co-wrote the song with Cynthia Roque.

Enzo’s musical journey started in Santa Rosa, Laguna, when he was discovered at the age of 8. He joined numerous singing competitions, including “Tawag ng Tanghalan” season 3, where he courageously came out as genderqueer.

The following year, he reached the semifinals of “Idol Philippines” season 1 and became a part of the singing trio iDolls along with fellow contestants Matty Juniosa and Lucas Garcia. He returned to the “TNT” stage as one of the resbakers of “All-Stars Grand Resbak” season 2.

Aside from music, Enzo also ventured into acting and starred in the series “Love Bites,” “Sleep With Me,” and the film “Ma’am Chief: Shakedown in Seoul.”
