The Police Regional Office (PRO) 13 (Caraga) on Thursday recognized the contributions of its stakeholders and various police field units for ensuring the success of the 30th Police Community Relations (PCR) Month celebration in local communities.

During the culmination rites, PRO-13 also honored personnel for their exemplary community engagement initiatives throughout the month-long observance.

“Let us be reminded that while this culminating program may mark the end of our formal observance, the true work of Police-Community Relations must continue every day,” said Brig. Gen. Marcial Mariano Magistrado IV, the newly-installed PRO-13 director.

Magistrado assumed his post on July 30, replacing Brig. Gen. Christopher Abrahano, named officer in charge of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group.

During the month-long PCR, the PRO-13 reached out to remote communities through outreach programs, the implementation of the Revitalized Pulis sa Barangay (R-PSB) Quick Impact Projects, bloodletting, public awareness campaigns, and gift-giving activities.

The Philippine News Agency in Caraga was among those recognized for its ongoing support for PRO-13, along with the Manila Bulletin and the Rotary Club of Central San Francisco, Agusan del Sur.

Department of the Interior and Local Government Regional Director Maria Loisella Lucino and Director Josephmar Gil of the National Police Commission joined Magistrado in distributing the recognitions. (PNA)
