Filipino content creator and events host Karen Bordador shares her experience hosting an impromptu event for the fan meeting of Seo In-Guk in Manila.

Sharing her experience during her spontaneous hosting event on August 12, Karen disclosed how she got the offer to lead the event.

On August 16, the host uploaded a vlog on her YouTube channel wherein she stated all her decisions and experiences during the event. This was uploaded after Kristel Fulgar, the Filipino actress who was supposed to host the fan meeting for the Korean idol.

According to Karen, she was also shocked when she received the announcement from her handler, as she only had one hour to decide whether she would take the hosting offer or not.

In the video, she explained that she accepted the offer because that was her first time hosting such an event wherein the Korean idol will be first in Manila and to also support her friends and family members who are fans of Seo In-Guk.

Karen also shared how she prepared herself on the spot, noting that she needed a makeup artist and someone to assist her with her wardrobe during the event. With this, she expressed her gratitude to the staff and director of the event for still guiding her despite it being impromptu.

“He really hyped it up; he said, Karen, it doesn’t have to be perfect. You just need to have fun,” she said, describing the director of the event.

Other than the director and staff during the event, Karen also thanked the fans for showing love for her even though she was tasked with hosting the event on the spot.

“Had so much fun hosting the first ever Asian Fan Meet tour of Seo In Guk! What an honor! You’re all awesome! Thanks for having me!” Karen said.

Karen had a lot of experience when it came to hosting events after she entered the entertainment industry and auditioned for a Philippine reality show. Prior to this event, she was a well-known television host and radio jockey.
