Established by international artist Tina Fernandez in 2004, Artinformal in Makati is the second branch of her art museum, which first started in Greenhills.

Every week, the museum features artwork from different artists to give different attractions to its audience for each of their visits. Its pieces were made by Filipino artists as they advocated for Philippine art.

“It is a venue for art exhibitions, installations, and performances; gallery talks; or art symposia, all with the end view of art education,” Artinformal disclosed on its Facebook account.

The Artinformal is also located at Chino Roces Avenue in Makati and is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

2. Silverlens Galleries

Starting its branch in New York, Silverlens Galleries has brought some of its pieces to the Philippines to let other individuals see the beauty of the masterpieces of its artists.

Each week, the museum also highlights an artist for a solo exhibition, which they post on their Facebook account.

Located at Don Chino Roces Avenue Extension in Makati, you can get a glimpse of minimal art from different artists for free.

The museum is open from Tuesday to Saturday, starting at 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

3. 1335 Mabini

If you’re a fan of contemporary art, this will be the perfect place for you. Described as the space for contemporary art, 1335 Mabini is a free museum that offers lots of paintings and other artworks.

Just like the previously mentioned museums, 1335 Mabini also features different artists and their masterpieces per week to provide variety to its visitors.

1335 Mabini is a gallery that mostly presents art pieces showing history and critical engagement with politics and collective memory.

4. Aphro

The Aphro Museum caters to different art pieces, not only paintings, that are related to the environment. The said museum also features different jewelry and other pieces that are made by Filipino artists.

5. Art Cube Philippines

As far as minimalist art is concerned, Art Cube Philippines should be on your checklist.

Located at the OPVI Center on Chino Roces Avenue, this museum offers different paintings from different Filipino artists.

Just like in 1335 Mabini, they also offer solo exhibitions from the artists, such as the masterpieces of Pinoy artist Fernando Sena, who expressed the nostalgic experience of children’s toys.
