The internet craze, Wordle, has truly put the online world into a spin as the game created by Josh Wardle and bought by The New York Times kept everyone guessing daily the five-letter word of ‘Wordle.’

We have also seen different versions of the game, such as Semantle, a word game where players have unlimited chances of guessing the word, Octordle, a similar game to Wordle. Still, players must simultaneously think all eight words, and Nerdle, a mathematical version of Wordle.

Fans of famous musical artists such as Taylor Swift and BTS also created their versions of Wordle, namely Taylordle and BTS Wordle. The players of these games test their knowledge of how much they know about the songs and things associated with Swift and BTS.

The twist does not even stop at words. Music lovers can now rejoice since they can now take the classic “Name That Tune” game into Heardle, a game like Wordle, but it’s about music this time.

Known as “That Daily Musical Intros Game,” Heardle was made for a small group of friends that eventually gained millions of players overnight. According to the game’s information page, each Heardle is semi-randomly chosen from a long list of popularly streamed artists.

Heardle also utilizes Soundcloud to play the songs. However, some players expressed that some songs are not available to be played in their countries. This problem was clarified by the developer of Heardle in an article by Variety.

According to the game developer, Soundcloud has a strong anti-piracy algorithm that combats the number of illegal music downloads and covers the licensing rights and fees. The developer also added that Heardle, as stated on its information page, gives respect to the artists. “Much love, and all relevant copyright, to those featured,” said Heardle, written on the game information page.

The instructions for the game are pretty simple. One has to listen to the song’s intro, then guess the correct title and artist in six tries or less.

ARMYs also created their version of Heardle called BTS Heardle, which was created by BTSCHARTDATA, who also created BTS Wordle.

Unlike Wordle, the game developer’s identity remains anonymous and is yet to be known.

Meanwhile, music lovers and fans of different musical artists can now test their musical knowledge as they listen to the intros of the songs in Heardle.
