The United States Embassy in the Philippines suspends all scheduled immigrant and non-immigrant visa appointments until May 4th due to the extension of the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).

According to a statement released by the embassy, “We will resume routine visa services as soon as possible but are unable to provide a specific date at this time.”

Affected applicants are advised to reschedule their visa interviews after the ECQ has been lifted.

“There is no fee to change an appointment and visa application fees are valid for one year in the country where the fee was paid,” it said.

For rescheduling visa appointments, reach the embassy at (+632) 7792-8988 and (+632) 8548-8223, or through the online appointment system at ustraveldocs.com/ph.

This move is due to President Rodrigo Duterte’s announcement that the Luzon lockdown has been extended to April 30, from the initial end date of April 14 to address the COVID-19 outbreak.

As of press, there are 3,764 confirmed COVID-19 cases with 84 recoveries and 177 deaths.
