The number of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) deaths in the country is now at 14, the Department of Health (DOH) said on Tuesday.

In its 8:30 pm medical bulletin, the DOH said the two mortalities were patient 126 and patient 129.

Patient 126 is a 76-year-old Filipino male who died in the afternoon due to acute respiratory disease syndrome (ARDS) and severe pneumonia secondary to Covid-19.

He has type 2 diabetes and hypertensive cardiovascular disease.

He was admitted at the Adventist Medical Center in Manila on March 9 and was confirmed positive with Covid-19 on March 15.

Meanwhile, patient 129 is a 67-year-old Filipino male who died from ARDS and community acquired pneumonia secondary to Covid-19. He was known hypertensive.

He was admitted at the Lung Center of the Philippines and was confirmed positive with Covid-19 on March 15.

Earlier, the DOH reported 45 new confirmed cases of Covid-19, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 187.

The DOH also said that there are now four patients who have recovered. (PNA)
