The highly-anticipated annual Filipino fiesta in Hamilton, New Zealand creates more buzz as it teams up with TFC. TFC joins the Waikato Filipino Association (WFA) and Philippine Airlines along with “2019 Pistang Pinoy sa Hamilton” participating cultural, social and sporting associations, clubs and societies in offering world-class entertainment that is distinctly Filipino.

In celebration of their 25th anniversary, TFC is bringing homegrown pride, Jason Dy, to headline its “Sama Saya Kapamilya”. From his “The Voice of The Philippines’” win in 2015, Dy has since carved his name in the Philippine entertainment industry. In the years that followed, he was awarded Favorite New Artist in Myx Music Awards 2016 and got nominated in the 30th Awit Award. Dy collaborated with Malaysian singer, Fazura, and even went on a promotional tour in the Southeast Asian country. Jason is an artist of one of the Philippines notable variety show “ASAP Natin ‘To” that airs on Sundays earning him the crown as the ‘Prince of Soul’.

His success in his career mirrors that of the thousands of Filipinos in New Zealand. Through his humble beginnings, he worked his way up carrying his talent and heart-of-a-champion. And now, he gives back to his people through the gift of music. And that is what #BeingFilipino is all about.

Catch “TFC Sama Saya Kapamilya” featuring Jason Dy headlining at the “2019 Pistang Pinoy sa Hamilton” on Saturday, October 26th at the Southwell School Performing Arts Centre. Admission is only $10. For more information, visit www.pistangpilipino.co.nz or facebook.com/TFCNewZealand
