4. He Is Abusive
End the relationship if he is physically or emotionally abusive. Abuse can have an adverse effect on your self esteem, making it difficult for you to live up to your potential. Does he call you names or scare you with his tone? If he does, then this is a sign of verbal abuse and it is time for you to leave. Most women remain in abusive situations because they believe or hope that the man will change but this rarely happens. He will continue to abuse you and even force you to isolate yourself from your friends and family to make it even more difficult to move on. Some people also stay if there is verbal or emotional abuse because they assume that it harmless. But that man who talks harshly towards you can become violent and endanger your life. The only solution is to break up even if you still have feelings for him.
