“ACTRESS JISOO” trends on Twitter on Friday morning as fans wish BLACKPINK’s main visual, Jisoo luck in her first shooting day for the upcoming Korean drama “Snowdrop”.

As confirmed by YG Entertainment on August 18, Kim Ji-soo will play her first-ever acting role as the female lead character, a cheerful student named Eun Young-Cho. She will star along with Jung Hae-in, who will play Im Soo-Ho, a Korean-German exchange student from a prestigious university.

The JTBC series is expected to be released sometime in 2021. It is written by Yoo Hyun Mi and directed by Jo Jyun Tak, both of whom worked on the Korean series, “Sky Castle.” Kim Hye Yoon, who also stars in the mentioned series, will be part of “Snowdrop” as well. She will play Kye Boon-Ok.

Other casts include Jang Seung-Jo as Lee Kang-Moo, Yoon Se-Ah as Pi Seung-Hee, and Jung Yoo-Jin as Jang Han-Na.

Amidst the commentaries about Jisoo on her relatively “poor” singing and dancing compared to her co-members, as well as only serving the purpose of a “visual” for BLACKPINK, her acting debut will surely prove her bashers wrong — that she is indeed, incredibly talented.
