Nine-year-old Aedan Pio is an artist and has Chordoma, a rare type of bone cancer. Pio was supposed to proton beam therapy in Apollo Proton Cancer Centre in India but because of the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been indefinitely postponed.

To make time at home productive, Pio has spent more time working on his original artworks and paintings. He sells his original work online and uses the money to help hospitals. He has a fond interest in outer-space, and astronomy because Pio wants to be an astronomer in the future.

He shares beautiful images of his interest in his numerous paintings. Pio has also done commission works and even painted passport holders for one of his followers.

Neurons as Pio told me is the basic working unit of the brain. (Yes I believe he memorized the google definition ? he even lectured me about cell body, axon, and dendrites) And this is how he visualizes how his Neurons look. Ironically, the teal green we see now — he thought was red and that some of the white were grey… though it seems he is having trouble again with seeing colors it turned out so pleasing to the eyes (I love mint green I wanted to keep it but Pio created this piece for his superdoc). And so I couldn't be any prouder when I saw this photo of Dr. Gap Legaspi holding Pio's piece. He is currently the director of Philippine General Hospital (PGH) and has been saving Pio's life since 2015. Did you know that he is the only doctor in our country who can and has successfully operated on Pio's inoperable tumor multiple times? Imagine the worry and stress when we found out PGH has been assigned to be a covid19 facility. But he and together with all the people giving hope in PGH accepted the task to save the sick and fight this war. And so I want to help him. Help me protect him and all the people there as how they have helped Pio live. *********** Please feel free to check out and share #aedanpioart against covid19: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.4035716506470532&type=3 Wear a mask properly! Pio even gave one of his doctors and current director of Philippine General Hospital Dr. Gap Legaspi one of his artworks. Pio’s mother handles the his Instagram account and even shared that Dr. Gap Legaspi, is the only doctor in the Philippines who has successfully operated Pio’s tumor multiple times.

As Pio and his family, add COVID-19 to their list of concerns, they show selflessness with their encouragement of Pio’s artistic skills and good deeds to the hospitals of the country.
