iQiyi, a movie and video streaming platform, announced on Tuesday, October 19, that for this year’s Anime Fest, users of the iQiyi application will get a chance to win prizes worth up to PHP 300,000, including Nintendo Switch and Demon Slayer figurines.
The said contest will be open for any iQiyi app users and will just have to follow three easy steps to join. Log in to the event page daily which will be equivalent to 10 points per day, watch an anime available on iQiyi to accumulate more points (capped at 150 points per day), and share iQiyi – Anime Watch & Win Event Page with peers and families (capped at 50 points per day).
iQiyi also prepared some other activities that can help in accumulating more points.
The video streaming website highly recommends checking the 12 newly added anime that includes Ranking of kings, Tsuki to Laika to Nosferatu, Build Divide, Takt op., Destiny, The Faraway Paladin, Taisho Otome Fairy Tale, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Mieruko-chan, The Vampire Dies in No Time, 86 Part 2, Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Part 2, My Senpai Is Annoying.
There are two ways to earn points in watching anime on the said app. First, a total of 20 points will be awarded for accumulating 20 mins of viewing time for a new anime listed above. Second, for other non-new anime, 10 points will be awarded for accumulating 20 mins of viewing time.
Viewing time generated by dragging the progress bar or watching at a faster speed will not be counted. Each user ID can collect no more than 150 points per day from watching content.
Users can also earn 10 points for signing up daily. Meanwhile, during the duration of the event, 5 points will be awarded every time an iQiyi user shares the link of the Event and invites a friend to download and sign up as a new iQiyi user.
Users can track their total points through the Event page ‘Watch Specific Anime to Win Cool Prizes’ and may unlock corresponding prizes if their total points reach 1000, 2000, 4000, or 5000.
A total of four exciting prizes awaits users that will complete the corresponding points. Free 7-day membership will be granted to the first 100 users to complete 1000 points and a mysterious prize will be given to the 30 users to complete 2,000 points. Moreover, 15 users who completed 4,000 points can redeem 1 out of the 9 types of Demon Slayer action figures and 3 winners of Nintendo Switch to the first three users to accumulate 5,000 points.
Points collected for the said event are effective until 12:00 midnight of November 16, after which points that have not been used will be nullified and non-usable for point redemption.
