“We’re thrilled to launch our 209th edition of Vogue in the Philippines, a country with a growing luxury fashion market and a vibrant creative scene,” said Markus Grindel, Condé Nast’s managing director of global licensing.

“The Filipino talent has been ready to be received by the world for decades now and with certainty, I can say that the market, too, is finally ready,” said Archie Carrasco, chairman and chief executive of MGLI.

Vogue Philippines is the latest entry into the Southeast Asian market for the fashion publication, which already has editions in Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Korea and more.

With the country’s present digitalization of fashion and media, having a Filipino version of Vogue cements not only the global appeal of Filipino designers’ work but also the value of print domestically.
