Did you know that, if not persuaded by her manager and husband, Céline Dion actually didn’t want to take on the risk of singing another theme song thinking that her success with “Beauty and the Beast” will be the exact opposite if she were to do another one? It makes me shudder just thinking someone else could have sung this classic or, even worse, that another track would be pitched in to become Jack and Rose’s theme song instead. Near, far and even 84 years later this song would go down in history as one of the most memorable love ballads to have been produced. The song has won an Oscar, Golden Globe and a Grammy.
