Pop balladeer Tim Pavino has released a stripped down version of his song “Dalangin” featuring songwriter-producer KIKX.
“For all of the people who are sentimental during this time, here’s our hope, our ‘Dalangin’ for you to continue on through this COVID-19 pandemic,” said “The Voice of the Philippines” season 2 semi-finalist.
“Dalangin’s” raw version, solely accompanied by a piano instrumental, was inspired by his time in solitude while in quarantine. The moving track is a profession of faithful devotion to a special someone despite being uncertain whether his feelings will ever be reciprocated.
KIKX composed and arranged the original and stripped versions of the song, which was initially released as part of Tim’s seven-track EP “Dreams” under Star Music. Other songs included in the EP, all evoking ’80s influences, are “Ulap,” “Pa’no Mo Nasabi,” “Wish I Could,” “Kanlungan ng Puso,” and Tim’s own compositions “Just A Dream” and “Happy.”
Since his stint in “The Voice” under Coach Lea in 2014, Tim has branched out to musical theatre, performing as Emilio Aguinaldo in “Miong,” Houdini in “Side Show,” The Doctor in “Matilda The Musical,” and one of The Drifters in “Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.”
