The team of Jhong Hilario, Kim Chiu, and Ion Perez was hailed as the grand champion in this year’s Magpasikat competition on “It’s Showtime” today (Nov.11) as their performance about the responsible use of social media and technology earned the highest score from the judges.

Team JKI showcased a glimpse of how social media can destroy relationships, family, and oneself if not used properly. They also wowed the viewers with their parkour and acrobatic skills. They won P300,000, which they will give to their chosen charity.

Taking home the second place was the team of Anne Curtis, Ogie Alcasid, and Ryan Bang, who sympathized with the people struggling and healing. The team won P200,000 for their chosen charity. The team of Vhong Navarro, Teddy Corpuz, and Jugs Jugueta got third place and won P100,000 for paying tribute to the late comedians of the Philippines.

Both the teams of Vice Ganda, Jackie Gonzaga, Cianne Dominguez and Karylle, Amy Perez, Lassy, and MC won P50,000 for their chosen charities.

The panel of judges was also comprised of FDCP chairperson and actor Tirso Cruz III, award-winning director Olivia Lamasan, rapper and singer Apl.De.Ap, Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza, and The Dawn’s frontman Jett Pangan.

The hosts also shared their messages for their 14th anniversary and thanked the bosses, A2Z, GTV, and TV5.

According to Vice, “Dine-depict natin yung pangkaraniwang pamilyang Pilipino. Taon-taon ay hinahataw ng maraming bagyo na hindi mo alam kailan darating. Minsan handa ka, minsan may darating na saklolo pero minsan kayo-kayo lang. Pero gumigising pa rin kinabukasan at buhay na buhay pa rin. Nananatili pa rin.”

Meanwhile, ABS-CBN COO of broadcast Cory Vidanes commended and thanked the hosts, the whole staff and crew of “It’s Showtime” for their hard work and serving the audiences world-class performances. She also showed gratitude to the madlang people for their unending support to the show.
