Confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) in this province continued to rise with 13 new infections reported on Monday.

This brought to 294 the total number of confirmed cases, out of which 146 are in active status.

The Tarlac Covid-19 Task Force said that out of the new cases, six came from Concepcion, four from La Paz, two from Camiling and one from this city.

It added that among those who contracted the virus are two health workers from Concepcion. Both are females and have history of contact with confirmed Covid-19 patients. One is 39 years old while the other is 34.

“Both health workers developed Covid-19 symptoms. They underwent swab tests on Sept. 11 and positive results came out on Sept. 13. They are presently quarantined at the National Government Administrative Center in New Clark City, Capas,” the task force said.

Meanwhile, two more patients have recovered from the dreaded disease, bringing the total recoveries to 138.

They are a 30-year-male and a 24-year-old female, both from this city.

On the other hand, the total number of deaths remained at 13. (PNA)
