Every Filipino millennial has fond memories of ‘Tabing Ilog’, the late 90’s teen drama that received a strong cult following. Well, fans can have the opportunity to relive those memories now that the hit youth-oriented series is having its own musical.

The news came after Star Hunt releases teasers, starting from the recognizable tire swing, via Instagram of how much fans missed the drama series after its conclusion last 2003. It has yet to be announced if ‘Tabing Ilog: The Musical’ will be a direct adaptation of the teen series or a follow-up to the story’s conclusion. Added to that, no further confirmation has been said as to who has been casted as the beloved characters.

‘Tabing Ilog’ centered on a group of 8 friends who juggle with difficult circumstances and teen angst, but discover the essence of friendship and romance along the way. The show featured Kaye Abad, Paolo Contis, John Lloyd Cruz, Desiree del Valle, Patrick Garcia, Baron Geisler, Paula Peralejo and Jodi Sta. Maria as the friends Eds, Badong, Rovic, Corinne, James, Fonzy, Anne and George, respectively.

Fans for years have been hoping for a sequel from its original run. Yet, they are still grateful for the eventual reunions that pop up.
