CARATs all over the world rejoiced as the thirteen-member group became the first Korean performers on the American cable channel MTV’s We Speak Music.

SEVENTEEN performed two tracks off of their 4th regular repackage album, “SECTOR 17,” “_WORLD” and “CHEERS.”

The group melted hearts with their mellow and dreamy performance of “_WORLD,” the album’s title track. In the video, the members turned on their boy-next-door charm, singing and dancing to the sweet and breathy melody of the song—while looking chill and cozy in their sleepwear attire.

Watch the performance here:

In “CHEERS”, SEVENTEEN’s unit leaders, Woozi, Hoshi, and S.Coups, turned up the beat with their powerful and energetic performance of the hip-hop track, singing about how far they have come since their debut. The leaders traded the laid-back outfits for a more edgy look, donning distressed tops, baggy pants, and statement jewelry.

MTV’s “We Speak Music” is the music channel’s effort to highlight artists who have given the best performances on MTV and VMA. The campaign runs with the theme of “Music as a universal language.”

In the eighth year of their career, SEVENTEEN has proved and continues to prove themselves to be one of K-pop’s most successful acts, breaking records left and right and receiving international recognition with their hit songs “Left & Right”, “HOT,” and “CHEERS.”
