Victory after victory as Filipino boy band SB19 made another history to be the first Filipino Boy Group nominated at the 2021 MTV Europe Music Award (EMAs) for the Best Southeast Asia Act category.

SB19 made an announcement on Thursday, October 21 on Twitter saying, “We are beyond happy to announce that we are nominated at the 2021 MTV Europe Music Awards for the Best Southeast Asia Act category!”

“Muli po nating iwagayway ang ating watawat, Pilipinas!,” SB19 added.

In the month of April of this year, SB19 also became the first Filipino artist that was nominated in the 2021 Billboard Music Award (BBMAs) under Top Social Artist category, together with K-pop groups BTS, BLACKPINK, SEVENTEEN and American star Ariana Grande.

The MTV Europe Music Award will be held in Hungary on November 14. Nominations will be led by several known international artists like Justin Bieber, Doja Cat lil Nas X, Ed Sheeran, Olivia Rodrigo and The Kid Lario.

SB19’s Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin will represent the Philippines and compete with other Southeast Asia nominees namely Ink Waruntorn (Thailand), JJ Lin (Singapore), K-ICM (Vietnam), Lyodra (Indonesia), and Naim Daniel (Malaysia).

The casting of votes is only available until November 10 via MTV EMA’s
