Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) chief Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr. reminded all Filipinos to reflect on the values that Andres Bonifacio had stood for, as the nation observed the 161st birth anniversary of the patriot this Saturday.

“As we commemorate Bonifacio Day, let us reflect on the values he stood for – love for country, selflessness, and an unyielding commitment to the welfare of our people,” he said.

Brawner noted that these principles continue to inspire the AFP as it carries out its mission to protect the country’s sovereignty, uphold peace, and ensure the safety and security of Filipinos from all threats.

“In the face of modern challenges, may we draw strength from Bonifacio’s example and reaffirm our dedication to serving the Filipino people. Together, let us strive to build a nation that honors the sacrifices of our heroes and fulfills the promise of a brighter and more prosperous future for all,” he said.

Brawner said Bonifacio’s legacy as the Father of the Philippine Revolution reminds the nation of the strength and resilience of the Filipino spirit in the pursuit of freedom and justice. (PNA)
