Rabiya Mateo is putting the finishing touches on her reign as Miss Universe Philippines.
In her final picture shoot as Miss Universe Philippines 2020, the 24-year-old Ilongga beauty queen wore the colors of the Philippine flag.
On Monday, September 27, 2021, she posted the images to her Instagram account, and she was emotional as she expressed some of her dreams for the future.
Rabiya looked stunning in a crimson gown designed by Filipino fashion designer Carl Acusa in her debut layout. For her caption, she wrote, “PULA I wish for bravery and grit on days when you feel like giving up.”

In the second pattern, the beauty queen was dressed in a golden gown with traces of white. GL Garlate Design, based in Thailand, created the gown. Rabiya stated in her caption, “DILAW AT PUTI I wish you find your light in these seemingly dark days. I wish you well.”

In the final configuration, Rabiya was dressed majestically in a blue gown designed by the Thai designer. In the caption, she wrote, “BUGHAW I wish for peace and overwhelming calm to envelope your day.”

Rabiya’s photographs were taken by Stephen Capuchino for this assignment. Make-up and creative direction were handled by Justine Navato, with artist Jobo Nacpil serving as the creative director.
