Computer-based professional licensure examinations are now available in Cebu after the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) opened a new testing center here on Monday.

The testing center opened at the GMC Plaza Building across Plaza Independencia. It can accommodate 282 examinees at a time.

“Computer-based licensure testing centers are now nationwide. We are glad that we have these new testing centers and Cebu is one of the best nationwide. We have more (testing centers) to come,” PRC commissioner Erwin Enad told reporters during the launch.

Enad said the PRC aims to make the professional and sub-professional or technician licensure tests accessible at any point in the country.

The other testing centers are located in Metro Manila, as well as in the Ilocos, Calabarzon, Bicol, Western Visayas, Northern Mindanao and Davao regions.

PRC-Central Visayas Director Narcival Taquiqui said they have already talked to the Visayan Electric Company to ensure no power interruption during exam days. (PNA)
