The Michelin Guide has been recognizing hotels since the 1920s, highlighting properties that excel in design, architecture, service, and character.
It welcomed its first six Philippine properties in September 2024, followed by five more in May 2025. These establishments are regarded as “destinations unto themselves.”
The latest additions join earlier honorees such as Amanpulo, Nay Palad Hideaway in Siargao, The Peninsula Manila, Crimson Resort & Spa Mactan, Admiral Hotel Manila, Hotel Okura Manila, Shangri-La The Fort, Fairmont Makati, Raffles Makati, Solaire Resort, and Manila Marriott Hotel.
According to the Department of Tourism, the inclusion of DOT-accredited hotels in the Michelin Guide strengthens the Philippines’ reputation as a premier global travel destination and showcases the nation’s trademark warmth and hospitality.
The Michelin Guide is also set to unveil its much-awaited debut restaurant selection for the Philippines, focusing on Metro Manila and Cebu, in the last quarter of 2025.
“This highly anticipated selection will shine a spotlight on the Philippines’ most talented chefs and dedicated teams, celebrating their passion, innovation, and deep respect for local flavors and traditions,” the Michelin Guide stated on its website
