The Department of Health (DOH) on Wednesday recorded 140 new recoveries from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), bringing the tally at 475,542 or 91.7 percent of the country’s total infections.

In its daily Covid-19 bulletin, the DOH also reported 2,245 new Covid-19 infections, with active cases now at 32,384 or 6.2 percent of the Covid-19 cases.

Of these new cases, Baguio City and Cebu City both reported 121 new cases each—the highest in the country on Wednesday—followed by Davao City with 102, Quezon City with 87, and Pangasinan with 81.

About 84.5 of the active cases are showing mild symptoms of Covid-19, followed by those with no symptoms at 9.2 percent, those in critical condition at 3.4 percent, those with severe symptoms at 2.4 percent, and those with moderate symptoms at 0.48 percent.

There were also 95 new deaths caused by Covid-19, with the country’s death toll now at 10,481 or 2.02 percent of all infections in the country.

The majority of health facilities in the country remain available, with the country’s 2,100 beds at intensive care units at 60-percent availability, 16,900 isolation beds at 65-percent availability, 8,400 ward beds at 73-percent availability, while 79 percent of the country’s 2,300 ventilators are not in use.
