The 286 new recovered cases reported on Thursday pushed the total number of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) recoveries to 374,939.

In its 4 p.m. case bulletin, the Department of Health (DOH) also reported 1,337 newly confirmed infections, bringing the nationwide tally of active cases to 30,493.

About 84.5 percent of the active cases are mild, 8 percent are asymptomatic, 2.5 percent are severe, 0.21 percent are moderate, and 4.7 percent are in critical condition.

Davao City topped the list of areas with new confirmed cases, with 110 infections. It is followed by Laguna with 74, Quezon City with 66, Batangas with 54, and the City of Manila with 53 infections.

The DOH also logged 41 new deaths, which brought the death toll to 7,998.

“Four duplicates were removed from the total case count, and of these, three were recovered cases. Moreover, 10 cases previously tagged as recovered were reclassified as deaths,” it said.

DOH data on November 18 showed that 1,555, or 6.3 percent of 24,798 who were tested, turned out positive.

As of Thursday, the DOH has a total bed capacity of 21,300.

Still available are about 58 percent of 1,900 intensive care unit beds, 59 percent of 13,500 isolation beds, and 69 percent of 5,900 ward beds.

Some 79 percent of 2,000 ventilators are available for use. (PNA)
