“Sa buwan po ng Hulyo 2021, ang pagtaya po ng ating Climate Monitoring and Prediction Section, isa hanggang tatlong bagyo ang posibleng pumasok sa Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), (“For the month of July 2021, the Climate Monitoring and Prediction Section expects one to three tropical cyclones to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility [PAR]”), said Ariel Rojas, PAGASA weather specialist in a briefing.

Once inside the PAR, they will be named: Emong, Fabian, and Gorio, respectively, Rojas added.

Rojas added that in the past years, every July, storms may either landfall or not. For non-landfalling storms, it will possibly move toward Taiwan and Southern China, and others might progress toward Japan and Korea.

On the other hand, storms entering the PAR from the east can possibly affect Southern Luzon or Eastern Visayas.

In the meantime, PAGASA is eyeing the low-pressure area forming inside PAR, however, claims that it has a slim chance to intensify and might dissipate, said separately.
