The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Monday reported 133 more Filipinos abroad contracting the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), pushing the total tally to 10,314.

In its latest case bulletin, the DFA also reported 121 new recoveries and four new deaths from the Middle East.

These figures bring the number of recovered cases to 6,554 and the death toll to 772.

“The reported rise in numbers is due to delays in reporting, owing to privacy laws in one territory located in Asia and the Pacific,” the DFA said.

Meanwhile, about 2,988 Filipinos abroad are still undergoing treatment.

“The DFA together with its Foreign Service Posts, continues to partner with host governments to ensure the safety and well-being of Filipino nationals abroad amid the pandemic,” the department said. (PNA)
