GRAMMY Award-Winning, multi-platinum singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo announces a remix of her hit song “expectations” featuring Chappell Roan via Interscope Records set for release October 15th at 5PM PST – pre-order/pre-save here. The original song appeared on Rodrigo’s critically acclaimed third album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 485,000 first-week units, becoming 2026’s biggest solo debut, while topping the charts in 17 countries. The remix marks Roan’s first ever feature and was produced by their mutual collaborator, Daniel Nigro.

In addition to the new single, an official music video will drop at the same time featuring both Rodrigo and Roan, directed by Bardia Zeinali.

The “expectations” remix ft. Chappell Roan will be available in physical formats with limited edition 7” vinyls, CDs and cassettes. Available for pre-order now at both artists’ stores here and here.

On August 29th, 2026, Rodrigo’s inaugural women-led music festival, Daisy Chain Fields, took place at Great Park in Irvine, California. The festival raised $20 million for 10 non-profit organizations dedicated to advancing and advocating for women and girls. The single-day event featured a women-led lineup of groundbreaking artists, including Chappell Roan, while also providing opportunities for education, dialogue, and engagement around issues affecting women and girls in the United States and globally.

Later this month, Roan will host her own charity fundraiser, The Super Graphic Spectacular and The Super Graphic Block Party, a two-day, Los Angeles–based charity fundraiser that features live entertainment, volunteer opportunities, and meaningful community engagement. All net proceeds of ticket sales will be donated to The Midwest Princess Project to help provide resources for trans youth & LGBTQ+ communities. Find more information here.

Rodrigo just kicked off her sold-out The Unraveled Tour last month, with over 1 million tickets sold globally.

About Chappell Roan
Constantly elevating expectations of pop stardom with bold hooks, larger-than-life performances, and unabashed honesty, Chappell Roan is “your favorite artist’s favorite artist.” With her string of Billboard top 5 hits including “Pink Pony Club”, “Hot to Go,” “Good Luck Babe!”, “The Giver”, and “The Subway”, the LA-based GRAMMY-winning singer, songwriter, and performer has cemented herself as an icon who turns heart-baring storytelling into sing-along anthems. Known for her onstage “drag persona” inspired by club kids, 80s punk, and burlesque, she constantly tops her own fantastical stagecraft and highly theatrical costumes. Her 2023 debut LP, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, saw six songs chart on the Hot 100, establishing Chappell as a breakthrough singer-songwriter whose technicolor pop palette captured the imperfect journey of falling in queer love for the first time while sparking a “femininomenon” of trailblazing advocacy for artists and marginalized communities. That same spirit of community and visibility has extended far beyond the music itself. In 2025, she launched her non-profit initiative, The Midwest Princess Project, which supports organizations providing resources for trans youth and uplifting LGBTQ+ communities. With each new release, Chappell stakes out a singular perspective in pop—one that challenges the status quo, celebrates queer expression and, above all, is about being true to yourself. This approach on “The Subway” helped her clinch her highest-charting single yet, debuting at No. 1 in the UK and No. 3 in the US, and earned her two more GRAMMY nominations following her 2025 Best New Artist win. Chappell Roan isn’t just a pop star—she’s proof that survival can be spectacular, that self-expression can be armor and a call to action, and that there’s real power in dancing in your own skin, fully and without apology, in a style that is entirely your own.
