ABS-CBN record label StarPop has introduced its newest artist Neeyong who just released his debut rap single “Agos Ng Tugtog.”
The 12-year-old talent composed the song which talks about ignoring the negativity in life and letting music take away one’s worries.
“Gusto ko na iparating sa mga tao na kaya nating makaraos sa kahit anong problema basta kasama natin ang musika, basta’t makinig lang tayo sa agos ng tugtog lahat ng nararamdaman natin ay mawawala,” he said.
The track, which also showcases Neeyong’s rap skills, was produced by StarPop label head Roque “Rox” Santos.
Neeyong, also known as Jose Neo Ambert Nabus, has expressed his love for music by writing songs and playing the guitar.
“Natuklasan ko ang aking talento sa musika nung ako ay 10 years old. Nakikinig ako ng kung ano-ano at sinusubukan ko magsulat ng mga ng mga kanta hanggang sa tumagal na ay natuto na ako mag-record,” said Neeyong.
Before his debut as a recording artist, Neeyong showcased his musical gift through various performances in his school events and as a guest performer in various concerts. Some of his musical influences include Gloc 9, Shanti Dope, Flow G, Hellmerry, Eminem, Tupac, Michael Jackson, and Snoop Dog.
