Former “Idol Philippines” contestant Miguel Odron is poised to introduce his unique sound with the upcoming release of his debut single under ABS-CBN Music International titled “Chevy Cruze.”

Miguel teased fans with the very first performance of “Chevy Cruze” at his first ever concert he headlined alongside JMKO, Jeremy G, and Sam Mangubat titled “Song Feels” held at the Music Museum last January 24.

The young artist first gained attention when he joined the first season of “Idol Philippines” and placed in the Top 5. Fans value his striking sound, which he attributes to a childhood of listening to unconventional singers such as Amy Winehouse and Nai Palm.

“I’ve always been drawn to nostalgic confabulation. I’m not old enough to have lived through the 70s, but I can try to tell you what I think that must have been like. . . . That feeling often ends up injecting itself into my music,” he shared.

Miguel is also active with gigs. Early this month, he performed at the “New Rules Live in Manila”, the British boy band “New Rules'” first tour in the Philippines. His voice was also heard in the new Kapamilya teleserye “Love Thy Woman” in the song “Each Day With You”. Late last year, he did the opening number for the Manila show of Leigh Nash of Sixpence None the Richer.

Miguel is one of the fresh talents under ABS-CBN Music International, ABS-CBN’s music label that seeks to introduce the exceptional artistry of Filipinos to global audiences.

Watch out for his debut single, “Chevy Cruze,” available in various online music platforms starting February 28 (Friday). For updates, like Star Music on Facebook at facebook.com/starmusicph, and follow it on Twitter and Instagram (@StarMusicPH).
