Filipinos won the heart of a well-known artist once again as international singer Mariah Carey recognized Pinoys for making her Christmas songs jingle at the start of Ber months.

On September 3, Mariah answered a tweet from a fan page showing her single “All I Want For Christmas Is You” already received over 316,000 streams on Spotify as the Ber month starts, which is more than half a percent increase compared to its record last year.

Sharing this record-breaking number of online streams, Mariah disclosed that it is still early for the song to top the charts as the Ber months just started but Filipino fans were exempt.

“I’ll allow it for my Filipino lambs though! I don’t make the rules,” Mariah said.

This trended all over the social media platform saying how the international singer herself was aware of how early Pinoys are in celebrating Christmas by listening to holiday songs as early as September.

“Not Mariah being aware of September being the start of the Christmas season in the Philippines,” a netizen commented.

At the start of Ber month, it is common for Filipinos to listen and jingle to different Christmas songs even though December is still three months away from September. This has become a tradition from all across the country and the common artists to be featured during this season were Mariah and local singer Jose Mari Chan.

This concept has grown not only in the country but also at the international level as overseas Filipino workers also celebrate early Christmas season vibes at the start of September. This symbolizes how festive Filipinos are and how they love to celebrate different seasons with their family and loved ones.
