The Department of Social Welfare and Development in the Caraga Region (DSWD-13) has completed the replenishment of family food packs (FFPs) in Siargao Island, Surigao del Norte.

DSWD-13 said in a Facebook post that 13,900 FFPs are stocked in the island’s warehouses as of March 29 and are ready for distribution during disasters and calamities.

On Sunday, the agency completed the delivery of the remaining 2,000 FFPs to Del Carmen town and 2,000 boxes to Dapa town.

“DSWD Field Office Caraga ensures continuous readiness to respond swiftly and deliver timely assistance to affected communities in times of disaster,” DSWD-13 said.

The FFPs are among the immediate relief assistance the government provides to families hit by disasters and calamities.

Designed to support a family of five for two to three days, each box contains rice, canned goods, instant food, and drinks. (PNA)
