Filipino host and video jockey Robi Domingo’s soon-to-be wife, Maiqui Pineda, pens him a short but emotional message on their fifth anniversary, a few weeks after the couple revealed that Maiqui is battling with a disease.
On Sunday, the couple uploaded a video of them on their Instagram together while d4vd’s “Here With Me” was playing in the background.
“As long as I’m with you. Happy five years,” Maiqui said in the caption.
While the message is short, their supporters see that its value is greater than gold as the couple faces their biggest challenge yet.
Last Thursday, Maiqui revealed on social media that she was diagnosed with Dermatomyositis, a rare autoimmune disease that causes muscle weakness, inflammation, and a skin rash.
“I already started treatment, but the journey to recovery is far from over. There are good days, but there are still bad days. I am hopeful that this is just temporary, and I will work on getting better one day at a time,” she expressed.
Maiqui’s supporters and celebrity friends wished her well on her post, even her fiancé, who penned a sweet and encouraging message to her.
“Really proud of your progress and your courage. You got this. Everyone is here for you and with you. Gotchu maiqs,” he said.
Maiqui got engaged to Robi in November 2022, when he proposed to her at Tokyo Shibuya Crossing after four years of dating.
