Written at a music camp in Malaysia, “Maria” blends a classic boyband ballad with a bold saxophone solo, capturing the unique synergy between Lola Amour and Oliver Cronin. The song tells the story of Oliver and Lola Amour’s lead singer, Pio, both blindly in love with Maria, unaware of her secret betrayal. “Working with the Lola Amour boys was an incredible experience. The last few years have been an absolute rollercoaster and I haven’t exactly felt in the right headspace to finish this album, but I’ve grown a lot and as time goes on I feel more and more comfortable and confident in the music and what paradise looks and sounds like for me. ” Oliver adds.
