Soul-pop singer Lala Vinzon unveils two new singles “Ako at Ikaw Lang” and “Karma” as she expands her music journey with ABS-CBN’s alternative-rock record label DNA Music.

Lala self-penned the tracks that were produced by DNA Music label head Gab Tagadtad.

“Ako at Ikaw Lang” is a pop-alternative love song about two people defying judgment and choosing each other no matter what others say. Lala captured the rush of young love in its intimate, emotional, and proudly romantic lyrics.

Her performance video for the song premiered on ABS-CBN Star Music YouTube channel last Friday (July 31).

Meanwhile, “Karma” is a reggae track that blends humor, storytelling, and social commentary. In a TikTok post, Lala said that the song is based on a popular tongue twister but there is a darker meaning to it.

The singer-songwriter used the perspective of a child witnessing a parent’s infidelity and its consequences. It was written in Tagalog, Kapampangan, and Hiligaynon, celebrating Filipino culture while conveying that every action has consequences in the end.

Named first runner-up in ABS-CBN’s first season of “The Voice Teens” under Coach Bamboo, Lala is also a pianist, actress, and lifestyle influencer. Her music centers on self-discovery and female empowerment.
