“Idol Philippines” season 2 alum Kice returns to the music scene with a new self-penned love anthem “Tayo,” dedicated to anyone who has loved deeply from afar.

“I think maraming makakarelate, ‘yung mga nagmahal nang tahimik, naghintay, o ‘di kaya’y piniling manahimik kasi yun lang ang kaya. Sometimes, we don’t get the chance to say what we feel, so we carry it, in silence, in songs, in moments we replay in our heads. ‘Tayo’ is for anyone who’s ever loved someone deeply but from a distance,” he said.

Kice emphasized how honesty helps in carrying out the emotions he wants to convey through his songwriting.

“My songwriting is rooted in honesty. I write the way I feel–raw, quiet sometimes, but always real. I just want people to feel seen, especially those who love in silence or carry emotions they can’t always explain,” Kice shared.

The romantic OPM track was produced by StarPop label head Roque “Rox” Santos and Gab Tagadtad.

Kice started his music career through the second season of “Idol PH” where he finished in third place. In 2023, he released his first two singles “Lose Control” and “Only Girl” and also sung “Dirty Linen’s” soundtrack “Simulan.” A year later, he delivered a heartfelt love confession with the song “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head.”

Aside from his music, Kice made his debut as an actor in the ABS-CBN series “Linlang.” Currently, he is a mainstay in the Sunday variety show “ASAP.”
