Khimo Gumatay has finally dropped his first album, dubbed “KHIMO,” a soulful celebration of his musical roots and artistic evolution.

The “Idol Philippines” season 2 grand winner showcases his unique pop R&B voice in the eight-track long play (LP) released under Star Music.

It features the song “Isayaw Mo Lang” as the key single, which serves as an encouragement to let loose and just dance. KHIMO penned the song along with four other singles in the album.

Fresh tracks also include “Di Mapigilan,” “Hush, Baby,” “Kamahalan,” “I’m Home,” and his remake of the OPM classic “Hataw Na.”

Other songs in “KHIMO” album are his previously released singles “Happy Ending” and “Nasunog.”

KHIMO won in the ABS-CBN singing reality competition “Idol Philippines” in 2022. Before that, he competed in “Tawag ng Tanghalan” season 3 and was part of the duo Binary in “Your Moment.” He previously released the songs “Where the Sun Goes,” “My Time” and “Sino Ka Ba,” which was part of the soundtrack of “The Iron Heart.”

The talented soloist, who started playing the guitar at 7 years old, came from a family of singers and considers Earth Wind and Fire, D’Angelo, Stevie Wonder, James Brown, and Marvin Gaye as his musical influences.

The album “KHIMO” is out now on music streaming platforms. For more details, follow Star Music on Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
