Raising the flag of Filipino transgender people, actress, and news anchor KaladKaren shared her proud moment of bringing the pride of Filipino transgender people to Hollywood.

Bringing the art of Filipino movies to Hollywood, the Manila International Film Festival was recently held in Los Angeles as it gathered different outstanding Filipino artists and one of its attendees was KaladKaren.

Walking onto the Hollywood red carpet, the actress became emotional as she brought the beauty of a transgender Filipina to such a prestigious event and place.

“Aside from our representation as Filipino actors, I’m happy to be a part of this milestone as an LGBTQIA+ Filipino. I hope people like me will get more opportunities like this! The future is bright! Mabuhay ang Manila International Film Festival! Mabuhay ang pelikulang Pilipino,” she said.

Aside from her proud moment of highlighting the presence of Pinoy transgenders in the international field, KaladKaren also expressed her congratulatory message to the country’s movie industry for successfully bringing its masterpieces to the international platform.

“PINOY FILMS IN HOLLYWOOD! Hindi ako makapaniwala. Thank you, Lord! I’m so honored to be here! Congratulations to the Manila International Film Festival! Ang bongga ng press conference! Simula na ito para mas makilala ang PELIKULANG PILIPINO sa Hollywood at buong mundo,” KaladKaren said.

KaladKaren is a known Filipina transgender news anchor, actress, and host in the country who continuously advocates for the development of the rights of the LGBTQ community in the Philippines through her platforms.
