“Tawag ng Tanghalan” alumnus John Saga breathes new life into Morissette’s signature hit song, “Akin Ka Na Lang.”

John released his rendition as a Valentine’s offering to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Himig Handog P-pop Love Song entry.

“I feel so honored to be a part of the legacy of this iconic song,” the power belter said in his Instagram post.

He also shared how the rendition came about after exchanging messages with producer and composer Kiko “Kikx” Salazar.

“Akala ko talaga na wrong send ka lang when you sent me a message about this project, but thank you for seeing me and for allowing me to reimagine this beast of a song,” John shared.

After his “TNT” season 3 journey, John dropped a cover album titled “Overture, Vol. 1.” He also collaborated with Anton Antenorcruz and Raven Heyres for the EP “Say It Clear, Say It Loud,” produced by Boy Abunda and released during the celebration of Pride Month last year.

Listen to John’s version of “Akin Ka Na Lang,” available on all streaming platforms. For more details, follow Star Music on Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
