The journey to forever has begun for Dennis Trillo, 40, and Jennylyn Mercado, 34.
Dennis and Jennylyn were married in a simple civil wedding ceremony on Monday, November 15, 2021. The garden wedding was held at the studio owned by Kapamilya actress Kathryn Bernardo in Quezon City.
The couple wore a white suit on the special occasion. Only close relatives and friends witnessed the wedding. However, the original photo posted by Mercado was apparently deleted an hour after she posted it on Facebook.
Dennis and Jennylyn have been in a relationship for almost eight years in January 2022. As early as 2018, they were already planning to start their own family.
On their YouTube channel, they recounted that Jennylyn twice tried to freeze an egg cell so that she and Dennis could have children. But their plan seems to be a “total fail”.
Aside from the difficulty of producing eggs, Jennylyn is afraid of getting pregnant because of her heart condition. Following the news that Jennylyn was pregnant, Dennis formally proposed marriage on October 8. Dennis prepared a simple but emotional proposal at the actress’ house.
From prior partnerships, both have sons. Trillo has Calix with former actress Carlene Aguilar, while Mercado has Alex Jazz with actor Patrick Garcia.
