Uswag Ilonggo Party-list, No. 99 on the ballot, continues to secure support from various sectors in Western Visayas and well-known Ilonggo personalities as the May 9, 2022 election nears.

The latest to back Uswag Ilonggo’s congressional bid is multi-talented Ilonggo artist Jed Madela.

Madela, a proud Ilonggo who hails from Iloilo City, has recently declared his full support for Uswag Ilonggo Party-list.

In a social media post, he volunteered in encouraging support for the regional party-list which he said is the pride of the Ilonggos.

“Iloilo will always be my home and I always carry my being Ilonggo with pride everywhere I go. And so, I want nothing more than to see my beloved city prosper and move forward.

“Ako si Jed Madela… Ilonggo nga puro… suportahan ta ang USWAG ILONGGO,” posted Madela on his Facebook page.

The pop balladeer said he is motivated to help Uswag Ilonggo because of its heartfelt concern to the plight of the Ilonggos rebounding from the effects of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and Typhoon “Odette” which battered most parts of Region 6 last December 2021.

Moreover, Madela believes in the narratives of Uswag Ilonggo Party-list as multi-sectoral and that the regional party-list is the best choice for Region 6 moving forward. The Ilonggo singer-songwriter said the party-list’s 5-point agenda clearly presents solid plans especially crafted for each sector which include agriculture, education, health, and tourism, among others.

The regional party-list’s strong commitment to uplift the lives of every Ilonggo will surely help make Region 6 one of the country’s premier regions.

“I support individuals and groups that only have good intentions for my beloved Iloilo,” he added.

Uswag Ilonggo, as a regional party-list, has indeed fostered unity with the endorsement and support it received from different groups and sectors.

As Region 6’s louder voice and stronger force in the Congress, Uswag Ilonggo is capable of leading the region towards transformative changes and progress.

Meanwhile, Madela is happy to share especially to all Ilonggos that he recorded a song for Uswag Ilonggo Party-list. Watch out for his original song, a tribute to Uswag Ilonggo Party-list, which will be out soon.
