Seems like Tiktok’s got a competition now that Instagram has entered the chat.

Instagram announces the launch of Instagram Reels, a new way to create and discover short, entertaining videos on Instagram. It is launching in more than 50 countries today, and it is available for both iOS and Android users.

Reels allows people to record videos up to 15 seconds long and add popular music, as well as an array of filters and effects. People can also share their videos both private and public.

Instagram has updated their explore page and added a spot for Reels-just like TikTok’s “For You Page”

I don’t know about you, but I feel like a lot of people, especially the content creators are already getting hyped up to try this new feature of Instagram because why not right? Almost everything that people want when it comes to creating a content is already being offered on Instagram.

But even though Instagram is becoming a fierce competitor of Tiktok, Robby Stein, Instagram’s product director mentioned in an interview that Tiktok deserves a lot of credit for popularizing that kind of format.

So, hopefully, even with this new Instagram Reels people will still use Tiktok because the more content you have, the more people can notice you. The more, the merrier.
