Award-winning actress Bea Alonzo has taken a decisive step in defending her reputation and privacy by filing three separate Cyber Libel cases against showbiz columnists Cristy Fermin and Ogie Diaz, along with their co-hosts in their respective online programs. The legal action was initiated at the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office, where Bea formally lodged her complaints.

In a recent report by GMA News, it was revealed that Bea has also submitted a formal complaint against an individual who, under the guise of being close to her, circulated false and damaging information. This individual, identified as a basher, disseminated harmful content which Bea alleges was discussed and amplified by Ogie Diaz and Cristy Fermin on their online platforms.

Accompanied by her legal counsel, Joey Garcia, and manager, Shirley Kuan, Bea submitted an affidavit detailing her ordeal as a victim of what she described as “false, malicious, and damaging information.” The actress has taken a firm stance against the propagation of misinformation and cyberbullying.

This legal action comes in the wake of Bea Alonzo’s recent personal challenges, notably her public announcement in February regarding the conclusion of her engagement with Dominic Roque. Their engagement, which garnered widespread media attention, was confirmed in July 2023.

As of this release, representatives for Ogie Diaz, Cristy Fermin, and their fellow respondents have yet to provide any official comments or responses regarding the complaints.
