Hobbes & Landes, a specialty store of all ages, announced plans to close its flagship store by the end of the month.

In its Facebook post, Hobbes and Landes wrote that its branch at Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in Taguig will cease operation on January 31, 2022.

“It has become unfeasible for us to keep the business running in these difficult times,” the post read, stating the reason behind its closure.

“Thank you for your support and patronage. It has been a great almost 20 years since we started back in July 2002,” it added.

Hobbes & Landes is famous for selling a variety of board and card games, as well as collectibles, science stuff, and arts and crafts.

In July 2002, the Pesengco and Sun families established the small specialty business, and it instantly became the go-to place for board game enthusiasts.

The impending closure of the flagship store affected customers, who reminisced about their favorite moments and memories in the place.

“I remember in around 2007-2009, we used to buy here frozen yogurts. Memories,” commented one of the Facebook users.

“We will miss you Hobbes and Landes BHS! Thank you for hosting my polymer clay workshops!” the other one added.

Moreover, the specialty store still has other branches located in Makati’s Greenbelt 5 and Power Plant Mall.

Hobbes and Landes merchandise can also be found on the company’s website at http://www.hobbesandlandes.com/, as well as on Lazada and Shopee.

This is also the last chance that customers will enjoy discounts from the flagship store as they are giving up to 80% clearance sale on all its premium products from January 7 to 31.

“As we bid adieu, here is a treat for you,” it posted.
